Stansbury Park Community Scholarship Program
The SPCA Community Association sponsors a scholarship contest every year. This is limited to high school graduating seniors whose household is in good standing with the SPCA (have paid their dues). 1st place winner will be awarded a scholarship of $1000 toward the college of their choice. 2nd place winner will be awarded a scholarship of $500 toward the college of their choice. Entrants not chosen as winners will receive a gift certificate to Kravers. All competing essays will be judged on spelling and grammar but heavily weighted on originality, feasibly, and justification. Volunteer members of the community will be the judges and will not be allowed to know the author of the essays.

Eligibility and Rules
The senior must live in Stansbury Park.
The senior's household must be members in good standing with the SPCA.
(annual dues paid)
The senior must be graduating from high school.
Essays will be judged on five areas: comprehension, organization, conclusion, creativity, writing. Each area is worth up to 20 points.
Email a copy of your essay to SPCABOARD@StansburyCommunity.org If you do not have access to email, you may mail your printed essay to 1 Country Club, Stansbury Park, Utah 84074; it must be postmarked by March 31, 2010.
Please provide your name, address, phone, email address, high school you are currently attending, and college(s) you'll be attending or have applied to on a title page only. The body of the essay must not contain any personal references that will reveal the author to the judges.
The essay must be typed, double-spaced, and a minimum of two and a maximum of three pages in length.
